newscruxly started as a shared set of run sheets between a handful of UK producers. It's now a full production guide covering editorial planning, studio reports and camera coordination for newsrooms of every size.
Why we wrote this guide
Most production advice is either too theoretical for a working desk or locked inside one broadcaster's internal handbook. We wrote newscruxly to close that gap: practical, UK-focused guidance that any editorial team can put to work the same week they pick it up.
From morning conference through to the moment a bulletin airs, every chapter is organised around the decisions a producer, floor manager or camera operator actually has to make.
